Just bought a 2008 ES 350
Hi,
New to the forum!
Last week I bought a great 2008 ES350 in silver w/ a black interior and wood trim. I love the car and it's probably the best car I've ever driven. It has 90,000 miles on it; only one owner and very few blemishes.
My only regret is that it doesn't have heated/cooled seats. I thought that came standard. I'm not sure how I overlooked that detail. Actually, I think I know how I missed it. I was looking at three different ESs at different dealerships and every time someone snatched up the car before I could get my finances together. So when I saw this beauty, I didn't hesitate to buy it (after a decent test drive, of course). And with the placement of the switches near the armrest, it's easy to miss them if you're not looking for them. Naturally, it's only 3 days after the purchase that I realize that the option isn't available. Bummer. However, maybe w/o the heating system, the seats are perhaps more comfortable than otherwise?
Bottom line: the car is great. It's so smooth. My previous car was a Civic that racked up 199,000 miles and I hope I can take this one that far too.
The big thing I need to acclimate myself to are the blind-spots (quite different from the Honda) and premium gasoline (also quite different from the Honda).
I think the car is in great shape but I think I'll do the 90,000 mile service at the Lexus dealership. I also think 2 of the 4 tires need to be replaced soon.
Any other recommendations?
