2008 ES350 MP3CD and/or thumb drive options?
Just bought a 2008 ES350. Reading the manual I'm seeing reference to MP3 CDs but the picture of the head unit in the manual looks different from mine. I've read elsewhere that there are differences between where the CD slot is and mine is different from the manual.
I've installed a BT receiver for the AUX jack and have that working but I'm intrigued by the possibility of a thumb drive in the glove box or a CD full of a hundred MP3s. Thus far I've struck out though. The data CD I burned with folders of MP3s does not read and I don't see any USB socket anywhere in the glove box.
Am I out of luck and these are things added after the '08 model year? Or is it simply user error and old eyes?
Thanks!

I don't have navi but the CD player in my base radio unit will read the MP3 CDs I burned. FYI - there's no USB support in the 08s. Not sure when it was introduced.
Looking at the picture you posted, it looks pretty much the same I see in the manual. What's different?
My suspicion would be the CD. What type is it? CD-R, CD+R, CD-RW? I think for compatibility CD-R is the best.
