I have a 2008 Lexus ES350 and I am trying to find the update CD for the NAVIGATION?

you can buy a OEM DVD at the dealership for like 150 to 180
or you can get a Fake Copy from Ebay for 10 to 12 bucks
don't pay more than 12 dollars for one on ebay because chances our its a fake copy
i have bough fake copys over the years they work fine for like 6 or 7 months at a time then they stop working

 

How hard is it to drop one of the DVDs into a PC equipped with a DVD burner?

FYI - I don't own a car with built in navi. I just use my phone.

 

make sure that you remove the cover before you try to eject the disk.. It will trash whatever disk is in it.

 

Sorry to hear you encountered problems with your ebay DVDs. I've been very fortunate. The 3 I have purchased so far all worked flawlessly. The newest version U40 Version 16.1 which includes 2 dvds is not available in a copy as yet. The 15.1 (2015) is ,the latest available on ebay. If your worried about quality.... and you should, check the sellers feedback.
