My car had water get in and now my car will not turn off. i have to disconnect the battery to turn it off. i have no idea what the problem can be . Please if you have any suggestions.

How much water got in it. It sounds like a major electrical issue and you most likely have wet and shorted out connectors and possibly the ECU is damaged. I would get the car to a warm dry grage and let it dry out for a few days. Your other option is to get it to a dealer . I would also contact my insurance as this may be a serious cost.

I would call my insurance company if I knew for sure it was water you could be in for some trouble
and hopefully you have comprehensive because that would be what covers water weather damage Comprehensive won't usually affect your insurance rates 80% of the time depending on the damage but if it where me I would just do that rather than worry about tracking down water damage on my own.
