Unhappy Door handle not responding when gripped

Hi I just purchased a 2011 es350. All doors lock and unlock with the key fob. However when I grip the driver side handle there is no response. I can grip any of the other door handles and I can lock and unlock all the doors. Does anyone have or has had this problem? What is the fix if any?
Thanks

What about the other handles? Will the car unlock if you grip one of them? If so, I would suspect the sensor in the driver's side handle is busted.

door handle was unplugged on the inside of the door. Prior work done on the door and the handle was never reconnected
