Default WI guy, new to Lexus

Hello folks!

Just purchased my 1st Lexus and wanted to join an online forum. I have found being a member of other forums helpful in the past with ownership of various vehicles.

I purchased a one-owner, black on black, 2007 Lexus ES350 with only 78,000 miles. Definitely was a garage queen, as there is not a sign of rust anywhere (including underneath). I think I added pics to my profile if you are interested.

I did my due diligence in research, and requested that the dealership replace the VVT oil line before purchasing, as I noticed it was the rubber line that is widely talked about failing(even though Lexus stated that the recall was completed). Sadly they replaced it with another rubber line....long story short, after some arguing back & forth (and threat of returning the car), they agreed to replace it with the correct all metal oil line, so it goes in tomorrow for that fix.

Besides the above issue, I like the car so far. Rides like a dream, fairly quick - at least in a straight line. Kind of reminds me of my old Buick Riviera with a couple extra doors.

Are there any other glaring issues I need to be aware of on this model? I am open to all advice and opinions..being new to the brand and all.

Thank you ahead of time!

I'll mention for your sake, and because I have a sales incentive, that the 2007 and 2008 models had a problems with the plastic clips that hold the front windows to the window regulator. They break all the time.

I started making them out of aluminum and I've sold over 75 kits since September of last year. Many kits are for multiple parts, so I've sold well over 100 parts.

It's not a big thing to worry about. You'll know if and when they break. There's more info at my website if you're interested. Link in signature.

BlueMoose - Thanks for the information, greatly appreciated. When I have this issue, which sounds like it may be inevitable, I will place an order!
