Not an electrical engineer so I can't say...anyone else? My uneducated guess is that it'll be fine though...

More wattage means more current. This can blow a fuse, generate excessive heat in the wiring and projector housing. At over a 50% increase I would be tempted to replace them with the correct wattage but I'm not sure what the tolerances are on the ES350's headlight system.

Guy's, our car can handle D4s 35 W or H7 55W Halogen, but if i were to pick i would go for the specified bulbs only, because otherwise there will be imbalance of electricity and may cause strange issues that are tough to deal with. Bulbs with different watts work, but it will defiantly effect the electrical system on a long run. currently my car has High beam fitted with 9005 12V 100W nameless bulbs, the guys who fixed it might certainly wanted to save money. i will try to change them in this weekend. i can certainly see the voltage change in my Torque app conneted to car OBD 2, the fluctuations when i change from low beam to high beam.

And in your case, i want to mention that the halogen 55w works differently than Xenon 55W, look in google for their working. Basically halogen needs more power but at a constant rate, where as Xenon take up huge power at start then consumes lower than halogen after few minutes , that why Xenon needs those ballasts, the system which is factory fitted in our car.

Hi again,

Remember to look for a good brand of bulbs, rather than the watts of an unknown or cheap brand. Phillips, silvania, osram, etc are good ones, and you will be surprised at the brightness that you from a reputed branded bulb even at a lower W compared with a very high W bulb of a cheap brand.
