yes there is. Your dealer can do it for you or you can buy something like Carista or techstream and do it yourself.

Hello all and sorry for bumping an old thread. I was under the impression that Techstream software can override the factory settings to allow you to close all windows using the remote lock button. However, after reading this thread it appears this function is removed in the North American market due to liability concerns.

I found that the only way to close all windows is to either:

1) Use the manual key in the driver's door and hold it in the lock position for 2.5 seconds.
2) Press and hold the lock button on the exterior door handle for 2.5 seconds

Can somebody confirm this? I finally got Techstream to work with my setup and was disappointed to find this out the hard way.

Carista, as mentioned above, is an app that may be less expensive than the dealer and allows you to modify many settings that are usually restricted to the dealer. It requires an OBD connector.
They were a CL vendor although their last post was a few years ago.

I read about Carista and was under the impression that it has the same or similar controls as Techstream.

I went through all Customization Preferences for my vehicle in Techstream (17 categories) and didn’t find anything that allowed the remote to be used for closing the windows. In fact the wording under Power Windows implies that it only allows the door handle and key to close the windows. While the smart remote and the key can be used to open them.

Doing some further research, I found this to be verified by other owners, at least for this specific generation of the ES350.
