Suffice to say my problem is solved. If you have this problem, get this part. Easy 30 minute fix, great instructions. Rich is a first class guy too.

My front drivers door clip broke in Feb and its finally warm enough to repair/cure with Blue Moose's fine kit! My repair job doesn't do justice to the beauty of the clip!!

I'll include a pic of the drivers door panel to show where the clips are; it's always easier to remove the panel when you know where the clips are. There are 9 simple push clips (8 green which popped out nicely and the red spot where the clip remained in the door but I got it out with vice grips and slipped it back into its panel slot for correct reinstall). Thanks again BlueMoose!!

Hey awesome! Thanks for the review! I really appreciate it.

I'm glad the repair went well for you.

My sales of this thing have really been picking up in March and April. It seems like now that it's getting warmer and people want to use their windows they're finally getting around to fixing them.

Good tip on the door panel removal as well.

and lighting strikes twice! My passenger door window front clip just came apart, just like the drivers door clip in Feb. I've ordered another clip via the web site. The only saving grace is I can now remove the door panel in 10 min

edit for posterity: you know how hard it is to reclip the door panel at the top, into the metal base of the window frame? there just doesn't seem to be enough room for the panel to fit?? Well protip number 28 is to snap back the black plastic door frame garnish at the corner. Its held at the corner by the same type fastener as the door panel and pops out using the slotted panel removal tool and now the door panel now has space to cllip into position nicely. then just pop the garnish back in.

Sorry if I missed it somewhere, but are there any "non-obvious" indications that the clip has broken, or does the window just suddenly not work? Luckily I haven't experienced (I don't think) this yet, though my driver's door doesn't sound as solid as the other doors when closed. It almost sounds like something's loose in there.

When it first breaks, there is a sound difference: instead of going up smoothly it sounds laboured. Then when you have a look at the fit between window top and the car seal you will notice that there is a little gap/misfit. The more you play with it the more the window will be skewed. The angle of skew will depend on whether the broken clip is the front one or back one. You can guide the window up to fit properly by slowly pressuring the window as it raises. You will need to lower the window once you have the door panel off to confirm which clip is broken. Then I raise and lock the window until my new clip arrives

I noticed immediately when my wife put the window up just by the sound.

thanks for the details. so this is a DIY job? we can do it ourselves? or should we buy this and print out your instructions and take to our local mechanic ?

only one window has popped - the front passenger side.. should I change the front driver also. which is the most used window. !

definitely a DIY job. You have to take door panel off anyway to determine which clip is broken (front or back). Blue Moose Engineering has a deal for multiple clips if you are so inclined as a prevention measure

Damnit reading this thread sounds like my passenger side window clip broke. I noticed the last time that I used the passengers side window it went down fine but sounded sluggish going up. :-( somebodies not using that window until spring rolls around.

Good afternoon - I just wanted to drop in to mention that although my vendor status expired several years ago I am still making and selling these parts for anyone who is interested. It turns out they fit a variety of late model Lexus and this issue is not reserved to the ES350. I have sold them for GS, LS, and IS as well. There may be more. Here is the current retail link. Code CLUBLEXUS15 is still active for 15% off.

Mods please PM me about restarting vendor status. No one has responded to my email requests.

Thanks
