I replaced battery in 2009 Lexus ES300 Remote / Keyfob. I used CR1632 battery.

Remote/keyfob works if I bring it right next to START button, but it does not work otherwise. It does not open/close doors remotely.

Is it still the battery issuue? I checked the voltage on battery and they seemed to be good.

 

I would try another battery. It's cheap and simple to do. Perhaps the one you just put in is also dead. Voltage checking doesn't really show much unless the battery is under load.

Beware of buying batteries online. Especially if they come from China. I once bought a load of button type batteries for one of my son's toys. About half of them were DOA.
