Drivers door won't unlock on touch unless really close.
2008 Lexus ES 350 - 31k miles.
I thought it was the battery in the key fob, but I just changed that out this morning to test.
I did notice that if I have the key fob about an inch or closer to the door handle it works fine, I can grab the handle and it unlocks. The other 3 doors are fine, I can stand back as far as I can reach with the fob in my pocket and the doors unlock every time.
Any ideas as to why the range on the drivers door would be so limited compared to the rest?

I the problem on my 2010 ES and they replaced the "oscillator" I think that is either the door handle assm., or part of it. IIRC the part was $400 in 2012. Was covered under warranty.

Thanks. I'll have to check into that. The car recognizes my fob, because the light on the outside mirror comes on, however there no unlock when I touch the driver's handle. If I touch the driver's side rear door handle, all of the doors unlock. So, maybe that's the issue.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
