Remote start won't start 2007 ES350

When lock button on the remote is pressed twice and held for 3rd time , lights flash but car won't start. Any ideas? I just put fresh battery in remote Haven't used remote start since last winter..

So last winter you started the engine by pressing the lock button twice and then holding it down?
