How many catalytic converters in my es350???
 

so i have 3 of the same error codes. They all indicate catalytic converter, mechanic also says its the catalytic converter,he gave me a fair price for labor but helped me out by saying it would be cheaper on my end to buy them myself! Ok thats great but i see that there are so many different catalytic converters or parts to it! Can anyone help me in my dilemma?

You might want to check out a different mechanic. There are two catalytic converters, each with a front and rear O2 sensor. I'm assuming that your mech has pulled several codes related to the O2 sensors. Unlikely that it's a cat converter itself issue. There are also many reasons why either the front or rear O2 sensor codes can be set as well. As Othic above......what are the codes?

I bet 420 and 430.
