2010 ES 350..can navigation maps be updated without getting ripped off??
Am confused after reading several threads on Nav updates on 2010 ES 350's
Has anyone found a way to update their 2010 Nav system maps without the exhorbitant dealership charge for an upload???
I understand the 2010 model could only be updated by an upload to an internal hard drive and could not be done by DVD as in prior years.
A definitive answer on this would be appreciated

i have seen some people on ebay who are selling access key's codes for the gen 6 navigation maps. however you still have to go to the dealer to have them upload it into the Hard Drive. just do a ebay search for your model and year i think its a Gen 6 naviation unit fo ra 2010 model.

The short answer is no, not really. The dealer is the only one who can install whatever update you buy.
