Default I don't want to service my Lexus at VW dealer, but should I?

I bought my 2010 ES 350 at a VW dealer back in March of this year. It has 60k miles on it and still nearly 2 years of powertrain warranty from Lexus, however part of the purchase deal was that I have a lifetime engine warranty at That VW dealership as long as I service my Lexus there. Trouble is, I'd hate to have it serviced there, and according to them, engine oil needs replacement every 3k and tire rotation every 6k to keep the warranty valid.
I talked to my Lexus dealer and he said that all a 350 needs to maintain the engine is an oil change every 5k. I'd rather have the car serviced there than VW dealer especially that I change my own tires seasonally to winter and who knows, if something does go wrong, they may just say it is not covered because the passenger rear tire was under inflated or something ridiculous like that.

I decided to skip the VW dealer all together and service at Lexus where the car was purchased and serviced by the previous owner. I'm just worried that I may be making a big mistake. What would you do?

I've only read about these vehicles having internal engine problems if the vvt-i hose craps out or if the water pump fails. It's a pretty solid engine.

You'll probably want to change your ATF on a regular basis though if you plan on keeping the car. Toyota charges a little over $200 to do it.
