Hi, all. I spent a little time researching trailer hitches for my car. Don't think I have any interest in actually pulling a trailer, but I have a real nice, heavy-duty Thule bike rack that I'd like to utilize. I've been hanging on to a 2005 Durango to haul the bikes around - thinking about putting the Durango up for sale.

I found that Curt makes a Class II hitch that'll work, then I'll need to get the 1 1/4" to 2" adapter.

Just wondering if anyone has installed a hitch for similar use, and what your impressions might be. Thanks in advance.

 

I have a hidden hitch for hauling my 16' Wayfarer dinghy to and from cottage, and the occasional bike rack use, No problems. Looks something like this
