Wow, one post from a stranger on the Internet causes you to stop using K&N filters?

No, you don't need to clean your MAF sensor. If there was a problem with it, it'd cause a code to be set. Follow the K & N cleaning instructions and you wont have problems.

MikePA. I totally agree. A person shouldn't make a decision based on one person's post. And that was my post. But I still agree with you. Any time a person asks advice on the internet, they should take the info they receive and then do their own research to verify. I recommend the op take all the opinions they've received and research it. Search the internet. Ask some local mechanics. Private and dealership. You'll find a lot of opinions but you'll also learn a lot.

Well he made a lot of since and I've never noticed a difference in about 7 different cars that I've used them. Only good if I'm racing. Standard everyday driving with a k&n isn't going to be any different than if I used a regular filter. Throw on a cold air intake and then I would see a difference.
