Yeah and the plastic panel in the engine compartment.

Oh well, now you'll have even newer ones!

today i found out they are planing on using some new OEM parts and Some aftermarket parts
they said any of the parts that they would use that would be used are not available in the area that are quality they would except
now i have a feeling we are going to be a little argumentative with them
because if they are using a OEM hood and a after market fender or or vise-versa a oem fender and aftermarket hood i can almost quarantee i have never seen a time this has come out good the aftermarket parts hardly ever alighn up with the other parts they line up propperly already told them would they rather take the chance of having to pay for labor twice because it doesn't come out right ?
guess they will if thats what it comes down to cause i am not about to except anything less then perfect no one inch of sheet metal will be lined up wrong

oh for sure i always do
last year when i had the cradle replaced i was a bit upset they used an used one this was on my Cadillac first they didn't even want to we where talking about a 2000 model year with 240k on it
who would ever think that an insurance company would put a 1400 dollar strut on that car and a 400 dollar control arm and then another 1300 for the cradle and 400 in other work
i fought them on it they wanted to total it out but i showed them pappers showing how
yeah the car might have 240k on it but there was not a major drive train component that had more than 70k on it the struts had 70 engine had 60 trans had 70 control arms had 40
they ended up replacing all that needed to be replaced

the reason i know about body parts is my 95 lincoln back in 2004 insruance company went with aftermarket parts to save 1000 dollars once they delivered the car back to me i looked it a few days latter i was no happy i was able to see how the hood and fender and bumper did not lighn up with the headlamps because the hood bumper and fenders where aftermarket and longer then the OEM ones where they had to spend 3k agaiin to have the work done with OEM parts

i went over to JM lexus where my car is being repaired
so far what they have is everything the insurance company told them about plus
a few more supplements first the Insurance company marked on the estimate Headlamps without AFS and W.O HID
so the headlamp they need is 900 more than the estimated amount
also the lower rail for the cradle i guess they said needs to be replaced
i saw how it was like withing a like a Centimeter of engaging and tripping the airbag switch
they say i was lucky even one more CM and the passenger airbag switch would be tripped
