Thanks. Obsidian Black looks nice but it's a pain to maintain.

I have edited the original post.

Thank you everyone for the nice comment! Black is a bit challenging to maintain and I bought a Porter Cable 7424XP because of this car :)

What kind of wax or sealant do you use?

iceblast 05-01-13 07:31 PM

Do you have any pits in your front hood?

Also, how did you avoid any swirl marks ... or have you polished this baby?

Klasse all in one, and a coat of BlackFire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection.

The hood is still in very good shape - I have 3M protection film installed and it helps a lot.

I had to polish the car once using the orange pad with Poorboy SSR2 (Lesson learned - don't let the dealer wash your car), since then I always wash the car myself (using Duragloss car wash and dry the car with a good quality waffle towel). Otherwise only touchless car wash at the gas station.

Hope it helps.

They used to call that a "Simonize".

Hum....I think I need to wax mine this weekend also.
