Question Ignition Coils keep failing....HELP!!!

I have a 07 ES350 with 78k I had coil #2 and #5 repaired in AUG. Now my VSC light and engine light are back on. I had the code read and it was #2 and 6, 2 was repaired under warranty and my husband replaced #6. The lights were still on and now they say its #5 . What is causing this problem? I would like to fix the under lying problem and then all 6 coils rather than fixing one at a time.

Sorry to say it, but the true fix seems to be doing all 6 coils and plugs at once.

Where did you buy the coils from that you installed originally?

Can you try moving the offending coil and see if the malfunction follows it?

Have you investigated the plugs on the other cylinders to see if they may need changing?

Had a '04 Lincoln LS and the replacement of all coils (when 1 went bad) was recommended because of the labor involved in removing and reinstalling the intake manifold. Ditched that car.

Now my '11 Impala has the coils in a very accessible spot. Very easy to check them all without a major tear down.

Unfortunately the only fix is to replace all 6 coils. Lexus recently updated the coils by covering the majority of the coil stem in a metal sleeve. The found the coils were cracking because of the heat they are exposed to and grounding out on the guide tube. Just pull out a random coil and look for the crack. They can be pretty large.
