How to unplug TPMS?
2009 ES350
Is it possible to permanently turn off the TPMS without affecting other functions?
I tried every suggestions, played with the buttons, deflate/inflate reset, etc etc but the dang light is still on. My mechanic hooked up the computer and tells me there's no communication with one of the sensors. I check my tires often so I really don't need TPMS.

Seems like less work to simply replace it. And it's hard to check your tires when you're driving and your tire is going flat. The TPMS will at least give you an advance warning that something's not right.

Can you just press the 2nd switch, near passenger footwell?

No, that won't work because the TPMS control module is always expecting the signals (either the main or the 2). So, you need to fool the TPMS module.

Trust me folks. I've checked all tires including the spare, played with main/spare switch, deflated the tires one at a time to 19 then inflate, etc etc. Darn light is still on.
Thanks GCL! So just to make sure, this disables the TPMS only, correct?
