Default GS 350 rims on an es 350???

Hello all!

I own an 2007 es 350 and have 215/55 R17 - 93V tires. My friend owns a 2007 GS 350 with
245/40 R18 97Y tires.
Can i put these tires on my es350? Can i put these tires and rims on my es350?
Im sure i could search this, but on vacation and posting help is easier

Thanks for all the help

Sounds like several folks may need a vacation from Club Lexus

1sWt2GS, I'd expect you to be a bit more welcoming to our new members who might not know better please.

Meister, his point is fair if impolitely stated. Might be easier but folks not taking the time to search does get a bit old.

Keep it polite and mature folks.

If you'll take 30 seconds to search you can find your answers instantly with no waiting (or conflict).

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/search.php

Example - I put "GS350 wheels" in the keyword and pointed at this ES350 forum and found these threads right away.

Hey there,
I always use this site whenever Im trying to figure out tire/wheel size differences:
http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp

I have GS350 wheels on my car (linked above) and it looks great with 235/45/18 (in the pic the springs hadn't settled yet so the wheel gap is more pronounced than it normally is). The 245/40/18 tires will be a little taller and will look even better. Post some pictures if you put the wheels on, I think the sportier 18" GS wheels definitely enhance the looks of the ES350.

Good luck!

I did this and posted about it almost 3 years ago. Here is the link with pictures:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es3...-on-my-es.html

The 245/40 18's you mention will be about 1 inch smaller in diameter and will effect your speedometer and will look small on the car. More importantly, I am mostly sure they are too wide and will rub. The width of that tire is about 9.8 inches compared to the original tires 8.6. I have replaced my tires since that post and now run Michelin Primacy MXM4's in a 225/50R18 size which I really like a lot. They are about 1/2 inch taller than the original tires and fill the wheel well nicely. The width of these tires is 9.2 inches and they rub very slightly of full wheel lock turning. Good Luck!

Thanks for the help Pete, I was hoping someone did this to their ES 350. The wheels and tires were going to be basically given to me if I wanted them. But sounds like they may not work the best for me I dont want to run into more issues down the road.
