2009 es 350 - wheels question
 

after being an old Lexus lover with a 2003 Gs400, then leaving to a 2006 Bmw 745 on 22's , im back and in love again.. picking up a 2009 es 350.

first thing i want to do and ive been doing some research is drop some wheels on it. i reallyw would like to do staggered 20's with 20x8.5 in front and 20x10 in the rear! im being told most wheels wont fit or work and i have to do 20x 8.5 all the way around unless i go to 19's which i really dont want to do!!

does anyone have any knowledge or real life scenarios on 20x10's on the rear? if it is not possible im curious woudl you go iwth the 19's to be able to stagger and go nice and wide in the back??

or the 20's and settel for 8.5 in width all the way around?

You can run them but it comes down to how much work you want to do to make them fit. You'll definitely need to run stretched tires, do lots of fender work, run camber, and your wheel will poke out of the well/fender quite a bit.
Also, I'm a little confused when you ask about 19's compared to 20's in the same width. Essentially a 19 vs 20 has no difference in terms of circumference because you adjust sidewall accordingly. The real problem here is the width and sticking out of the fender or hitting the strut.

^^^^Right, but you have the issue of Load Carrying Capacity, which IMHO, is very important. Also, why on earth would anyone want to run a staggered setup on a FWD automobile:confused: Makes no sense to me:uh:
