Headlights on when unlocking car at night?
 

Hello everyone I'm new to the forum I just got a 2008 ES 350 and love it so far. My question is is there anyway to have the headlights come on when you unlock the car at night? I'm taking my car into the dealership soon so if this is a personal option I would love to know ahead of time. It seems like such a remedial request but I'm told it doesn't have this option. Seriously?

No- but your courtesy lights on the bottoms of the mirrors should come on when you approach the car?

I'm not sure this is correct...unless they've done away with it, the dealer has access to what are called 'c-best' settings within the car. I know my lights used to come on in my 2001 GS300 when I unlocked, then would shut off either if it were daylight and the sensor told them so or I then locked the car by hitting the button twice. It should be programmable at the dealer.

check the manual for settings on your key fob you can set the can to turn the lights on when the car unlocks mine do and it took two minutes to set but look under key not lights for the answer

I'm looking thru the owners manual... (pages 20-34) regarding the key fob and no mention of lights coming on when unlocking either by remote or doors UNFORTUNATELY! Yes the side mirror lights come on but... seems ridiculous for headlights not to be an option when unlocking at night.
Oh Well I do like this car!
