It will cost you $7K+ on top of a '12 now for a comparably equipped '13 with a higher finance rate if financing.

Your going to pay a huge premium for a 2013 since it's so new. This time next year the prices will level out.

With the use car market the way it is I wouldn't pay more then 31k.

Have your sister thought about leasing? In texas you can save a lot of sales tax since there is credit's availble leasing. at 6.25% this makes a new one a lot closer together in price. Not only that you interest rate is probaly less too.

I worked it out and leasing is actually cheaper right now then buying outright since you can save the Taxes in Texas. Lexus leases are very good you basicaly have a balloon payment loan that has an option to return the car. The only way you really can loose if yo drive a ton miles over.

If you sister is that tight that she can't afford a new one perhaps buying a used one with Nav is a better option. If things are truly that tight then perhaps buying a Lexus is not a good option for her. You can get a nice camry for less and in some cases that might make a lot sense.

I don't know the situation around this purchase but right now a person should finance rather then pay cash. Interest rates are just way too cheap to not finance. A couple of thousands dollars will not increase the payment very much.

I think your expectations of getting that car for $31ish are reasonable...make that offer!!! I see a white 2009 ES350 with the nav package at a local dealer for $24,900 in near mint condition...granted it's not a CPO but cmon.

Hello guys. Im checking on another one from Toyota Dealer ...It's 2011 18k miles Navigation. premium. asking $31,990 before TTL... I gave up on the 2010 from sewell.... they can only save me $200 on that one that makes the car drive out for $35k even.. Nobody here will take that. Thanks for everybody trying to help me.

For $30,500 it's yours if you don't show the dealer any excitement over it.I think you're haggling skills aren't very good and you're not alone. Many people have the same issue. Thus the only $200 off an extremely high priced '10 at $33K.
This car isn't certified. However there should be a few years left on the basic 5/60 and your sister can always buy a discounted Lexus extended warranty from 2-3 guys that sell them..
I love playing the haggling game and would try and buy the car for under $29K.I know I can probably buy that car for $30K.
Be confident and strong.Don't be afraid to walk out the door.
You definitely can buy that car for $30,500 or less and on a '11 w/NAV,that's not a bad price..

Research for another Lexus dealership in your area and be pre-approved from Lexus Credit gives you a strong position to be in with the dealer. If the deal seems very high, then stand up and announce you are going to blank Lexus dealer for a the car they have at $X difference. Nine times out of ten, the salesman will go to his manager and come back with a much better deal. I followed the above strategy in the negotiation of my leftover 2011 in 10/11 and the salesman came back with the $5,000 difference in my trade allowance. Seems they were going to use that extra $5,000 to make my my 2007 Ultra as a CPO vehicle. Found out since that they sent it to the auction instead.

I would just look at new base ES in that much.
With .9 financing will probably come to same cost.
