PO500 code, but under strange circumstances
I am getting a PO500 code, but it never sets the code during the daytime. It will only set the codes at night when the lights come on using the auto setting. I can reset the codes and it will be fine during the next day. When it sets the PO500 code, it also sets a trans code of $E9, and an engine code of $E8. Car still drives properly when the codes are set.

I am going to get that done, I'm just curious as to why it only sets the code when the lights come on automatically. Didn't know if the $ codes might be a clue.
