Default Illuminated Door Sills for ES?

My 2005 RX has them and I have seen them in the CT. Is there a way to get them in the ES?

My salesman said Lexus no longer offers them but that does not seem correct since they are an option in the CT.

After cleaning the ES today I really miss seeing the orange glow like I have in the RX.

Thanks, John

I too would be interested in knowing if these are available. I know they are not offered as a Lexus accessory.

I started this thread awhile back ago. I am very interested to know if we can get this one too. I also have the 2005RX like you do, John. Agree, I miss that "orange" glow Even the new camry has it as an option!

I found a set for a 10-12 es350 on Aliexpress, there a cheap Chinese version but still look very nice, to bad they don't fit a 07-09. Here's a link for anyone who's interested:

If anyone could supply a picture of a front and back sill from a 10-12 es350 it would be greatly appreciated as I plan on trying to retro fit some in my 07 if possible.

Thanks

I bought a set of illuminated sills for my 07 es350 on eBay paid $80. Bought from same seller for this listing number 330952808420. They work great. I tapped into the rear door lights via the center pillar on the drivers side. When u remove the panel next to the drivers seat the harness is easy to access. Tapped into the smaller red and blue wires. I removed the rear seat and ran wires to passenger side. There is one connection for all 4 sills. They are only on when the doors open and operate just like the dome and door lights. They really take the car to the next level.

Update; I figured out how to take everything off. I tapped right into the small red and blue wire in the harness under the center plastic pillar on the drivers side. Then, as suggested, ran the harness under the back seat and pulled the plastic covers off and tucked the wires under them on the passengers side. It looks great and didn't take all that long. Thanks for the post dkdub11!

Do you find that the bright blue sills greatly overpower the interior's normally warmer lighting?

Some pictures that I've seen show the sills being significantly brighter and perhaps a bit jarring.

What did you find?

Default ES350 installed illuminated door sills.

The glow is not too bright and does not over power the ambient light in the vehicle. I found the illimunated sills on eBay for about 60 dollars. They really do take the car to another level.
