Default Window Tint and High Solar Energy Absorbing Glass

I plan to have my 2010 ES350 window tinited next week. My question is that since all the windows are using High Solar Energy Absorbing Window Glasses, besides cosmetic reason, do I get any additional protection from UV or Solar heat?

I plan to do a 30% on the back (28% Solar rejection) and 70% on the front (40% solar rejection). Any comments, please?

I recently had our car tinted with LLumar film and on their web site they have a performace chart which lists the performance of each % film. It had a lot of good information. All films showed 99% UV protection regardless of their %.

I got 40% all around (35% is legal here in IL) and that is 99% UV protection, 41% solar rejection and 50% glare reduction.

Question

Thank you for the reply.

I checked their website. Indeed a lot of info. The fact that they have a series of "SIGNAL-ENABLING FILMS" concerns me. Not about their product, but about metallized films in general. Does that imply that other films may block the GPS or cellphone signal?

From the numbers you provided, i assume that you used HIGH-PERFORMANCE MetalLized FILMS Charcoal ATR 40 CH SR HPR. Have you experienced any reduction or lost of signals? Both on GPS and cellphone?

More importantly, have you noticed a reduction in heat and UV burning ? Assume yours has High Solar Energy Absorbing Window Glasses all around.

I like your choice of 40% all around, i wish i could do that. But the enforcement is rather tight here, have to use a near transparent one for the front The shop i plan to go uses SunTek film, similiar to yours.

Again, thank you for the reply.
