Default Lowering ES

I want to lower my ES so i will get a better ride height and a stiffer ride quality. I'm new to this lowering thing so can anyone give me some faqs on it? and any product recommendations? what is the difference between coilovers and lowering springs? Basically, I'm not trying to slam my ES, i just want it to be lowered by a bit in the front and the back and a bit stiffer in terms of the ride quality, as well i need something that will last for at least 2 years even during the Winter.

search for 'lowering springs' in this specific forum, what i've read is people use eibach springs from the v6 camry. i havent done much research on it but still need to find out if new shocks are needed or even if it messes with camber or toe.
