Default Factory rims

A bump of the right tire against the curb scraped the rim. Is it wise to repair the rim or replace it? Has anyone here had his or hers repaired? If so, how much did it cost? Or should I purchase one? Is Ebay a good place to look for one? Again, how much does one generally run? Your input will be highly appreciated.

well.
A new rim 4 to 500 ish
Fix 125 to 200 un less its chrome, Then add a couple hun more.

Can you feel a differance, shake/shimmy?
First thing I would do is make sure you didnt knock the alignment out..
If its ok have the wheel Ballanced to make sure it isnt bent.
If thats ok can you live with a cosmetic issue?
If not See the top!

I would NEVER buy a used rim from anyone, Unless you know them and the history of the wheel.

I would also NEVER have a cheapy, great deal guy fix a rim. It MUST be magnafluxed to make sure it isnt cracked, Then spun to make sure it isnt out of round.
Then if all is well a cosmetic repair only, Lexus does not recomend repairing a wheel unless it is cosmetic only!

I would be looking for a "take off" rim. Ebay, Craigslist or local wheel shop. Many if not most are brand new and I often see them for as little as $200 for a whole set of 4.

i can sell you a wholw set of them for 600 shipped. I already purchased a set of IS350 rims, just need to go to a shop and get some tire and install them. Afterward, I'll have a set of ES rims available.

I second what Tazzman has suggested above, need to approach this methodically. Could very well be a minor issue.

just go to autozone and pick up a bottle of silver touch up paint. rims will get curbed, its only a matter of when. save yourself the hassle and money. if it aint broke why fix it? just cover it up as good as you can and be happy you only spent $10
