Has anyone updated there 2007 ES350 with a new Nav. CD? I drove a 2011 loaner the other day with the Nav. and I didn’t have to touch the screen to get the safety message to go away. If I get the latest update DVD does it include this feature? Also the display was a different color. What if anything is different than the map update?

 

No more screen touching to get safety message to go away. I believe that started with 8.1, though I am not sure.

I upgraded to 9.1 and the safety message went away.

With that said however I made a hybrid disk so I now get the message again.

IMO the upgrade wasn't worth it since the maps were not updated or at least not for the areas I've lived in - Maryland and San Antonio. I've also noticed that alot of POIs are out of date too, for example if you try to search by phone number even a business that was established several years ago is still not in the database. I find myself always verifying with my iphone first before setting a destination. If I had it to do again I wouldn't have upgraded.
