ES 350 Long Term Storage
Owner's Manual doesn't cover this subject. Does anyone have a link to a Lexus site that has recommendations or can provide the recommendations?
Thanks

what do you mean. that you wont use it. for say 6 months.. hmm.. best is to get some one to periodically start it from time to time. .if not. .disconnect the battery. and make sure tires are full and store it.. thats pretty much it.. when ready to use.. re charge battery and off you go.. may be get an oil change if its a long time. once a dealer told me . that the oil if it gets hot and cold. it degrades. but that is if the engine is running .

Why not get a deltran battery tender (or like smart charger) hook it up, and don't worry about it. Maybe make sure the oil is changed before you leave it. Check tires. Is it going to be inside, outside. If inside I'll make sure that is washed and cleaned inside. If outside get a cover, and use it, and do the same stuff wash inside and out. Maybe go to the service advisor at your local Lexus dealer and ask. Good luck BTW Welcome

Long Term Vehicle Storage Guidelines:
Go to http://www.chiltonlibrary.com/Index.aspx and select your car on the left-hand side, then click "Bulletins/Recalls" then on the right-hand side of the page do a Quick Search on the word "Storage" or look up TSB #SB-0018-09. It's a 5-page PDF that seems to cover everything for 2007-2010 Lexus models.

By far the biggest issue will be fuel. Ethynol is bad stuff. It starts undergoing phase separation in a little as two weeks. It is a huge issue for us boaters....especially over winter when they are put up for months. You will need to treat the fuel with something like this:
http://mystarbrite.com/startron/
Then you have to decide whether to leave the tank full or empty. Used to be everyone recommended full to reduce condensation. Now most folks recommend empty because the ethynol is a far bigger concern. Or maybe you can still buy gas without the dreaded E. If so, great, but you will still need to treat it.

Thanks for the responses!
It will be stored in a warehouse for 6 months. They will run it monthly to keep the battery charged. I will put in some fuel stabilizer too.

6 Month Storage 350 ES 2007
No electric for trickle down battery charge.
Pump up tires yes
Add Stabilizer to tank and fill yes
Disconnect battery yes
NOW how to I get the keyless Lexus to open so I can pop the hood and charge the battery with no juice?

There is an emergency/supplemental key that pops out of the fob and manually unlocks the door. If you have access to the owners manual, it covers using the key.

key hole is on the underneath of the driver's door handle.
