Default LEASE maintenance requirements

What are the minimum lease minimum maintenance requirements?

Seems like an awful lot of high priced checking of things with very little actually done in lexus gold and platinum maintenance plans.

I always do exactly what the owner's manual calls for. That gpld and platinum stuff is just your dealer's attempt to take some extra money from you. I do 36 month leases and spend maybe $125 a year. I spend more than that keeping the car looking good. Don't drive in and ask for the 15,000 mile service just ask for an oil change. I rotate my tires myself or have it done for free at Discount Tire.

I just did the recommended service at my local garage. The only thing to watch out for is to have five matching tires on the car upon lease return and for them to have the recommended tread life left (whatever that is). If the spare is non matching, then they can charge you to make it right.

I would take it to a Lexus dealer. If you take it somewhere else you will need to maintain good records and you will not have a history or relationship with a dealer in the event that your car has a problem.

My local Gulf dealer garage has all the services performed on our '07 ES350 on his computer / I have the receipts. Plenty of documentation for warranty back up when needed. The relationship a Lexus service wants to have with its clients is to insure that the price of the services cover the real nice waiting areas (sofas, wifi, desks, flat screen televisions everywhere and personnel that man all of this. Metro Lexus in Cleveland has the most beautiful waiting area, complete with espresso machine, nice cookies and nice young girls to wait on you. Someone has to pay for all this niceness. My local Chevrolet dealer has a nice clean waiting area with help yourself coffee and tea (but no cookies).
