Default Wind noise?

Got about 6K on my new ES and yesterday for the first time I was actually hearing outside air noise from the drivers window. My wife usually drives the car and has the radio on and hadn't noticed it before. Occurs above 50mph. Kind of annoying when there is no radio on. Is this normal or maybe a known issue or do I need to take it in? Thanks for any input.

There were many complaints back in 2007 and I don't remember the resolution.

It may sound dumb but try hitting the up window switch after you are in the car and driving. Also listen to see if the window goes up just a small bit. Sometimes the auto close feature does not "seat" the window all of the way. If that doesn't fix the noise then the door gasket needs to be fixed.

Mine too does it on the highway. I remember if a DIY on putting foam tubing inside the rubber gaskets or simply buy a set of wind deflectors for the windows.

There will be some turbulence around the mirrors. Make sure you aren't hearing that.

The car isn't totally silent. You can hear a little bit of wind.

I have the problem for my sunroof. When my sunroof is opened (not the panoramic sunroof) there is a loud wind sound causing the roof to rattle a lot. It happens when the car goes over 60-70km/h. Any solutions?

Sure! The easiest solution is to close the sunroof...simple!

If your moon roof is rattling around there is something wrong. I'd get it to the dealer.

IMO, sunroof is the most useless option on any car, in terms of value/price.
Useless in city traffic, useless at highway speed, useless in cold winter and hot summer.
Only a fraction of people want it, and only a fraction of locations (like California) make good use of it.
As to wind noise, I don't notice any excessive or annoying amount of it on my 2007 ES.
Except when there is a strong crosswind at highway speeds.
Out of engine noise, road noise, and wind noise, usually it is the road noise that wins.
