Default CR1632 Battery Decently Priced

I get my batteries from PI Manufacturing. They sell the battery at 50 cents/per with a 5-pack going for $3.96, plus they ship via Post Office, which should be extremely cheap.

I would not suggest keeping the spare battery in the house since it is for emergency use. I would keep one on the wallet and keep the key at home. The main reason is if you loose your fob+key, you buy only the fob which is way cheaper alone.

Got the batteries from Ebay also, way cheaper and try to buy brand name for longer usage.

I get mine from ebay, do search for CR 1632, it is recommended to replace batteries every 2yrs, even if you do not use your FOB much.

Lexus dealer in Minnesota was charging 5.40 per battery. I bought 5 for 5.89 including shipping from USA at Ebay using paypal.

Thanks. I was going to get a 5 pack of Energizer CR1632 off of Amazon Marketplace for $5.65 shipped, but wanted them fast. Since PI Manufacturing is in SoCal, I got them next day and a couple dollars cheaper too. The ones from PI Manufacturing are generic and had 2009 date code (about 2 and a half years old). I probably would've preferred fresh Energizer or Panasonic batteries, but who knows how many of the ones being sold for cheap are genuine name brand anyways.

You know the battery is low when you have to be close to the car to unlock the door. How old are your fobs? If more than 3 years then just replace the battery. If you drive a Lexus you can afford a $5 pack of batteries from eBay.

On our '07 I replaced the battery in each fob once during nearly 4 years. We've had the 2010 for 18 months, still on the original batteries. When they're needed I just go to Radio Shack and buy two for around $5 or so each. They are fresh and I'm good for another few years.

On my '09, it indicated on the dash that the key battery was low about a week before it died. Was still able to drive the car though (had to use manual key to open door).

Checked a lot of places in Winnipeg - Walmart, Cdn. Tire, Sears, etc., no joy The Source (old Radio Shack) will bring them in for $7.99+tax. Finally called Lexus dealer - $7.56 tax in!

Didn't realize finding a battery was a problem.

I needed a battery a year ago and my Walgreens had it. Was in a different Walgreens this morning and they had it too.

Local Toyota dealer had 2 for $7.49 that I had to get on an "emergency basis". Don't ask.

Default CR1632 battery

To get this battery at Walmart, you have to go to the jewelry department and they have them on a rack by the register but near the floor. Hard to find, if there is none on the rack they may have them behind the counter of the jewelry display case just ask them to look for you.
