Default 2008 ES350 Nav Problem

I recently purchased an ES350 and love the car except the navigation system lockouts while driving. I have tried several hybrid discs on different brand discs, but have not been able to get them to work. I have tried disconnecting the battery to reset the nav, but this does not work. I tried to find the fuse, but it is not listed in the manual. Is it possible that by removing the fuse, it may reset itself to 5.1? If so, where and which fuse is it? I am open to any suggestions. Thanks to anyone who is willing to help.

Evey post I have seen re the 2008 ES350 states that you can no longer override the NAV system lockout when the car is moving on 2008 models. Maybe Lexus modified the software or whatever to ensure that 2008 buyers cannot fully enjoy their ES350 NAV systems.

You might check here to see if they have added the 2008 ES350.

I worked with Mark at Prestigious Society to test a pre-production version of their kit for my 07 ES350 UL and it works perfectly. Nav, Phone, and Video override work fine. Well worth the price.

May I ask what is involved in the install? Does the unit need to be pulled out?

Yes it will work with 08 ES. I didn't do the install but it did require the head unit being removed. But the install is a very quick plug and play with no cable cutting. It comes with a switch with two buttons. One for Nav-override and another for DVD override. You can switch back and forth anytime you need.
