Default 09 information now up at Lexus.com

It now shows on the Lexus web-site that the 09 Premium Plus Package is now only $1280. The 08 price was 2480.

Can someone tell me if this is right, the price actually went down?

Interesting. I haven't looked at it, but for the package to go down over 50% I'm thinking there must be some things not included that previously were. Just a guess though.

Yes, I saw that last week. Also note that the first two packages have the same name "Premium Plus Package with Additional Options" (they have different Additional Options). I sent a note to Lexus last Friday to verify that the information is correct. I have received an Email acknowledging my query with a promise to respond in 3-5 days. I am still waiting.

The base MSRP increased by $200 so the cost of the second package must have decreased by $1200. If that is really the correct price, there will be a lot of 2008's left on the dealers lots unless they sell them well under invoice.

I was hoping for a remote start accessory which the camry has but the ES350 doesnt.

I received a reply last week that did not answer any of my questions. It also did not verify or rebuke any of the information posted on the Lexus site. It did state that dealers are allowed to charge any price they wish and to get a quote from a dealer.

I replied with more specific questions. I have yet to receive even a acknowledgment for my reply.

I can only assume the following:
- Premium Package has been deleted
- Premium Plus Package has been reduced by $1200

I did not keep track of other 2008 option prices so I don't know if their price have changed.

If you are looking to purchase an ES350 with the Premium Plus Package, I would not consider a 2008 unless the price was really good considering the $1200 price reduction on the 2009's.

We will have to keep monitoring the Lexus site to see it there are any updates.

Has anyone received a dealer quote on a 2009 with the Premium Plus Package and verify the MSRP of that package?

I finally received an E-mail last night that verifies the 2009 Premium Plus Package listed on the Web site is accurate, thus it has been reduced by $1200 from the 2008 price.

The only difference in the 2008 & 2009 package descriptions is that the 2008 indicates perforated leather seats while the 2009 indicates Leather-trimmed interior. I don't know if this is an actual difference or only a different description.

If you are looking at a 2008, keep the 2009 price in mind.

If you build your own on the Lexus web site there is a free option to select either perforated or regular leather seats. I'm not sure how that works with the ventillated seats, perhaps that's what was deleted as standard? Ventillation is listed as an "available option" still.
