Photographing the ES (+ Photos)

I've learned that this car looks awkward from certain photographic angles (let me know what you guys think). It takes some work to get a perspective that flatters the car's lines. Here are some photos that I've taken of mine over the past 6 months...

Anyway, hope to share insights with those of you who are interested in photographing this car.

2008 ES350 (b. 2007/12)
Exterior: SGM
Interior: Gray

1st Picture looks like a Diecast Model...very nice!!

Love the focusing on the 3rd picture.

May I ask what kind of camera & lense do you have?

Thanks...I'm still learning how to take (and post-process) better pictures of cars.

I use a Canon EOS 40D with a Tamron SP AF17-50mm lens.

my comment with your photos except for the 1st one would be to fix the white balance. (it might be my monitor) but it seems like shots 2, 3, 4 and 6 are a bit on the bluish (colder) hues. in this case, colour balance (under images--> adjustments---> colour balance) would be the right tool to help you color correct those images :D how's the performance of the tamron?

i like your first shot the best!

Hehe, I purposely balanced the colours that way. It may be my monitor or my own personal preferences, but...you can always redo it. For bonus flexibility, some of these were shot RAW. Thanks though!

Edit: The Tamron works great. I moved there from a Canon 24-135. The wide end wasn't enough with my 1.6x sensor, which drove me to the 17-50.

Nice pics. I know what you mean with about the angles and the floating look at some angles...not so good. But I have the same car, sans lip spoiler
