Default Headlight problem

My driver's side headlight is currently not working, was wondering if anyone can tell me what they think the problem is.

I've had problems with it for a few months now, it would turn off by itself and then if I turn off both headlights and turn them on again it would start working again. This problem was mainly only when I drove in the city, and the headlight would almost always stay on when I was on the highway. I'm guessing because of the smooth roads.

Recently the driver side headlight would turn on for about 1 second and turn off. Switching the lights on and off have the same result. My guess is the wiring or electrical contacts. Any thoughts on what this could be, and if I can fix it myself?

Thanks

I'm afraid I don't understand why you have been driving with this problem for "a few months", I would assume something in the circuit is failing and you could find yourself out at night with no lights. I'm also assuming that because this is posted in the ES 350 forum your car is under warranty and would be repaired immedately under warranty. The headlight circuit is to high-tech to be taken on without the proper tools and wiring diagrams.
