Check your tires

I had my tires rotated and the inside tread of my rear tires were wearing unevenly. Turns out I needed an alignment and I did not even know it. I caught it early enough to not need new tires. The car was not pulling. This is an area of the tire that is hard to see when the tire is mounted. So, thought I would pass the word along. I have 26K miles on mine and it was due.

By the way, my Mich's still look good after rotations at 5K, 15K, and rotation today. They are holding up well.

I also had the tires balanced. My smooth ride is back!

how'd you know you need allignment done? is it by tire wear?

The tech showed me my rear tires when they were being rotated. The inside was wearing more than the rest of the tire. My "toe" was out of spec on the rear, which is common on front wheel drive cars.

This may seem like overkill to some folks but every new vehicle I've owned gets an alignment by 10k. Suspension components definitely settle in the first few thousand miles. After that I have an alignment done about every 20K. If my F-350 gets out of alignment it can eat a set of tires in under a 1000 miles.
