Default front license plate on bumper?!?!

is there anyway to put the front plate on the bumper without drilling holes to the front bumper?

I would try duct tape. That should keep it on.

i think the double stick tape should work fine... cut the heads off screws and tape them on too.. so they looked screwed in... so you wont have idiots going around ripping your plate off..

I'm curious as to why doing this is necessary?

I have an idea! Why not just move to one of the states that don't require a front license plate. When I ordered my ES350 I told them to make sure nobody drills holes in the bumper because I don't need it. But seriously, if you must have a front plate you might as well do it right and drill the holes. Nobody is going to see them anyway, right?

I would rather have the holes as opposed to trying to repaint after removing the double sided tape. You can always put on a spiffy Lexus logo plate if your state doesn't require one, although your profile lists CA as your home, and they most definitely do!

New Jersey is similar to Cali with vehicle laws & enforcement. I tried to get away with a clean front but lasted less than a month. Ironically I was driving to the dealer. The last thing you want to do is give these suburban a-hole cops a reason to pull you over.

I think the main reasons for requiring a front plate are so cops can randomly run plates while in front of or behind you and the reflective plates are a better target for the radar guns. Awesome.

I have been seeing so many ES350s without the front plate...and it looks sooo much better. How do i patch the drill holes? I need it to match in color and texture too... is it possible? or get new bumper?

Cheaper than getting a new bumper, as you mentioned.
