Adaptive Cruise Control

Garmin is like double the cost of the others when you compare by features. Make sure you really want the Garmin over, say, a Tom Tom or a Magellen before you shell out for one.
Other than size of the screen, the aftermarket navis are better than factory nvas anyways.

I love my Garmin........but I wouldn't say that screen image quality is nearly as good as the screen in my Lexus. The Lexus screen beats it hands down, and the information on the screen is much more informative than any portable GPS that I've seen.....and I've seen plenty!

I think this thread drifted to other areas because a very low percentage of owners in the US, Canada, or wherever have this option. Most likely if you wanted it, the car would have to be a special order that would take a minimum of 3 months for delivery.

I wonder why many people don't have this option. It sounds like a fun toy, and convenient tool.

It's a very pricey toy that most people just don't see the value in. Tons of people use mapquest, google maps, etc. Nav replaces the need to print out directions so people see the use. It also gives you the backup camera which is awesome, along with the pretty big screen.
Not everyone uses cruise control. I very rarely ever use it. When I do, it's not a big deal to push a button now and then to speed up or down. Since you still have to pay attention and drive, having the car speed up or down makes it only a slight convenience. I just don't see a point in dropping a couple grand for such a minor benefit. Apparently, most other people feel the same way.
I've never seen an ES equipped with it. I only asked a couple of salesmen, but they hadn't either. At this price point, the cost of the option is too big a hit.

I own a 2007 Lexus ES350 which is equipped with adaptive Cruise Control. The seller was a Lexus dealer and he told me that there were only five such cars in USA. I can't tell he was right or wrong, but I haven't seen any other ES350 with this feature.
