Quote: Yes, I was talking about UL's. You can get Nav with standard radio on Premium & Premium Plus, but no Nav with ML on these editions.
"....or the NAV without the ML system. Their answer was NO!"

Alan, your message above was not clear. You can get the NAV without the ML. But, I knew you meant the UL package....all is good.

The funny thing was when I made this phone inquiry to Lexus Corporation, the person had to put me on hold for over 10 minutes to get the answer. Seems like they were mixed up also. heehee

Quote: I was under the impression that ALL the ML systems included a DVD player. In fact, I never saw a package that gave you this option that you're talking about in a USA built ES350.
P.S. I looked at the all the packages that Lexus offers for the ES350's and you can't get an ML sound system without a NAV!
Yeah but if you get the ML without the Nav, then you don't get the screen and therefore you don't get the DVD-Changer (like HI).

The funny thing is that it's listed as an option in the options list but it's ALWAYS packaged with the navigation system no matter what postal code you punch in.

If you read what I was trying to say before: You CAN'T get a car with ML alone.......you have to get the whole package ML/Nav. This is available on the UL Edition ONLY! This holds true for the ES350's that are sold in USA/Canada. There is only 1 edition of the ML System! There are NO ML Systems that don't use a screen.

I don't know how else to explain it.

I know that... hence my last paragraph. It's funny that it's listed as a separate option when they don't even build it in the first place!

even if you could order mark levinson without nav llke you can on an is350 the radio cd player would still be the non dvd player. the dvd players only come on navigation systems. so yes lexus does sell mark levinson with only a 6 cd changer without dvd playing capability on other lexus models like is350 and gs350.
i sold a nav and dvd changer retrofit kit to an is350 owner who had a mark levinson system 6 cd player but no nav . when he plugged in the system the am fm cd had sound but no sound when dvd movie played. when he checked his mark levinson amp nothing was plugged into the blue digital port. so i had to send the digital cable that plugged into the blue square ports on back of dvd player and amp and then his 7.1 surround sound worked when movie played. so even though the mark amp has surround sound capability it only works on dvd changer systems. so there is only 1 cable to add to go from mark levinson non nav to mark levinson nav. the amp is the same. but lexus doesnt offer es350 with mark levinson without nav.

if you wanted a nav system with mark levinson dvd changer i have a complete es350 navigation system with mark levinson dvd changer and it could replace the non nav ac control and cd changer only system . the complete plug in and play retrofit harness is included.
also if you already have navigation system without mark levinson dvd player the dvd player alone could be added. i have a plug in and play harness to replace your old cd only player . also i have a mark levinson amp which could be retrofited in place of your pioneer made amp and you could have 7.1 surround sound movies on your nav screen. the speakers would not have to be changed out you would just plug in the mark levinson dvd cd changer and plug in the mark levinson amp with my retrofit harness. and you will have upgraded to the 2000.00 optional marl levinson system dvd changer and amp system.

as far as factory pricing you have to remember though that you already paid for your 6 cd changer and pioneer amp in the base price of the vehicle and they werent free. so the 2000.00 option price for mark levinson dvd player is on top of the money you paid for the other non nav non mark system. the actual prices of the ml dvd changer is 2700.00 and ml amp 700.00 which is 3400.00 but 1400.00 of non mark equipment removed on assembly line . hence 2000.00 more for the mark system if ordered with nav but your still paying lexus 3400.00 for it because they removed your non dvd system and didnt give you 1400.00 credit off your base price for it.
