Adding HID to a non HID ES350
yes, I have the same problem, I had to adjust the height of both headlight to highest level only to have small improvement, some cars turned out great but unfortunately not the case with ES350, I even upgraded the ballast to 55w but still not good enough.
The original halogen actually appears to be brighter......

Can you share how to adjust the height of the halogen headlights? The only instruction I can find is for the factory HIDs. Thanks
You may find direction under your owner's manual, under the manual it will show 2 holes
per each side of the lamp (right on top of the lamp once you lift up your hood), however for the none-HID type of light, you will only find 1 hole per light which allow you to make up/down adjustment. You will need a philip head screwdriver. You may not notice much of movement after a few turn, but beleive me you are making progress, every turn will only make very minor adjustment so you will need to keep turnining it. If might be easier if you park your car infront of the garage dood to see how the beam hits.

It could also be due to the color temperature of the aftermarket HID's you install. Generally, stock/OEM HID's are 4300K. Optimal light output is at about 4300K-5000K. Anything above that, you will be losing light output in addition to seeing a color change.
