Question ES 350Emergency Flasher Problem

My ES350 just had a 15000 inspection. Driving last night, I experienced the emergency flashers starting up on its own. There would be a couple of flashes and then the flashers would stay on for a few seconds, then turn off. Hitting the flasher button did no good. Any ideas?

For the 15k service, the only item in the dash area is the replacement of the air conditioner filter. I don't see any way that should affect the flashers, but who knows?

I think you should let the dealer handle it.

Welcome to Club Lexus

The condition you describe could probably be caused by a malfunction of several components in addition to the flasher switch like the door locking circuit or the security system. You will need to hope it happens on a consistent basis and then take it back to the dealer to have it taken care of. I suppose it is possible that they caused the problem while doing the service but it could just have happened to occur at this time.

It will be warranty, just let the dealer fix it.
