Default More to an ES350 than UL

I don't believe the UL package constitutes "full options." Following is the UL Package, followed by additional options:

Ultra-Luxury Package with Additional Options$10,626.00Ultra-Luxury Package Includes:
- Semi-analine leather-trimmed interior
- Wood- and leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift ****
- Driver's seat power cushion extender
- Lexus Memory System to control power driver's and front passenger's
seats (except lumbar), outside mirrors and steering wheel
- Rear-seat side airbags (SRS)
- Remote keyless entry-linked memory
- Panorama glass roof
- Power rear sunshade
- High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps
- Dual-swivel Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS)
- Electrochromic outside mirrors with tilt-down in reverse
- Rain-sensing intermittent windshield wipers with mist cycle
- 17 x 7-in Graphite-polished alloy wheels
- Full-size spare tire with 17-in alloy wheel

Additional Options:
- Navigation System/Mark Levinson® Surround Sound Package- Intuitive Parking Assist- Preferred accessory package (includes Cargo net, Trunk mat and Wheel locks)- Rear lip spoiler

After this, there are several additional options, also available from your dealer, such as "gold accents" for the Lexus logo and name.

From my understanding, this option is very rare, and only can be purchased by special order which will take at least 3 months to get from the factory.

Default Your thoughts on fully-optioned price of the '08 ES350

Here's what I'm looking to order over the next 3-4 weeks. My search now is to get the price down from what's stated on the Lexus site ($45,111.00 USD) for the fully-optioned '08 ES350. There are five or six dealers in the Washington DC, MD, and VA area with which I'm willing to discuss this:

Base MSRP* $33,720.00

$10,626.00 Add-on Package

•Ultra-Luxury Package with Additional Options
- Navigation System Mark Levinson® Surround Sound Package
- Intuitive Parking Assist
- Preferred accessory package
(includes Cargo net, Trunk mat and Wheel locks)
- Rear lip spoiler

Accessory Options $0.00 (This is included in the add-on price, above):
XM® Satellite Radio (see dealer)

I believe these are all the options available (save minor dealer options such as gold-tone logo and name), whereas there would not be an extension on the normal wait time for delivery.

Delivery, Processing & Handling Fee
$765.00

Total MSRP** $45,111.00

This price is right off the Lexus site. I'm sure any of the dealers would offer a much better price, wouldn't you think? For those of you who have already purchased an '07 or '08 configured as such, what are your thoughts?

Thanks,

Capt

$40,000 to $41,000 is reasonable. I know some of you might say "get below invoice or it should be much lower etc." but knocking 4-5k off of the MSRP for a 08 ES is not bad already. set a price that you are comfy with and go for it.

I got my 08 ES350 MSRP $41,920 for $38,000. It's not the best but I am happy with the discount.

Hmmm. This may be ****, but, what's the difference between Invoice and MSRP? And, what are Invoice "Options?"

If you can get 40k, that's a really good price on the UL as you have listed. In June, I had a dealer quote me 38.2k for a left over. But from what I understand, the 08 model is to have less UL models making them more rare. In the end, I bought an 07 RL for 38k, but it was a tough decision.

Capt
most people assume invoice + option prices = true invoice but in reality there is markup on the options and packages as well. That is why I called it invoice options

I just bought one for $40800 with an XM radio (Full Ultra Luxury, MLNAV, Intuitive Parking Assist and accessories like cargo net and wheel locks).

The dealer was a friend of mine and his boss wouldn't let him go less than $1500 over invoice (but he threw in the XM radio by upping my trade-in to cover it).

I would figure ~39K for bottom line, but since the UL is so rare, they really don't have to go that low.
