In the Houston area, I just negotiated $3500 off list of $41.122 (loaded minus full sun-roof & Levinson stereo).

That's quite interesting, Larry. I spoke with a dealer who said she had not heard anything about a production line reduction on the UL's that would impact a buyer's purchasing decision or cost of the UL-packaged ES 350. Of course the '07 model had a much longer production run than the '08's will be able to have. This is based on the fact that the '07 production process began much earlier in in '06, giving several additional months of production, you think? But, that shouldn't be a criterion that makes the '08 a rare breed. Perhaps you could please help me understand the whys and wherefores of the possible position taken by Lexus to have less UL models? I would think Lexus would produce as many as folks want.

Thanks a bunch,

Capt

Thanks, Gatorcb . . . that makes sense.

I'm wondering, however, if the prices now being posted on this thread are for '07 or '08 models of the ES350.

I keep hearing the term "rare," which doesn't make a lot of sense to me. How can a vehicle be considered rare when production is just beginning, in the case of the '08? Are we talking about the '07 or '08 model being rare? My thinking is that a vehicle can only be considered rare if the production line is shut down and the new model is started, and the older model is now hard to find.

Thanks,

Capt

Does this include navi and ML ? If not, what options do you have?
What was final out the door price?

I got my 08 ES350 MSRP $41,920 for $38,000. It's not the best but I am happy with the discount.
