Default $2K off on 2008 model?!?!

Hi everyone,
Really enjoying reading all the good info on the Lexus.

I'm in the market for an '08 ES 350, however, the local guys in Houston are only dealing $1,500 to $2K. Is that the norm with Lexus in this area?

I really want a new one but might now be looking at a low mileage '07.

Thanks,

You should be able to get atleast $4k off msrp if you wait a little if you can. Definately pin 2 dealerships against each other and see who gives you the best price.

I think you can do a little better - maybe $3,000 - $4,000. Just let them know you are shopping around a bit.

Thanks! I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting ripped here. I've read other threads where some were getting 10%-15% off. No one is talking near that amount of dollars at Northside or Sterling Mac.

Guys,

I was able to negotiate down by $3500. Pretty hard negotiations as there are not many ES 350's on the lot.

Thanks for the help!

I just bought a 2008 ES350 at dealer invoice price minus and additional $750 for a coupon I received on attending the "Taste of Lexus" a couple months prior. I was extremely surprised that their initial offer was the "invoice price". With the coupon I was $750 below invoice....making it almost $5K below MSRP.

The taste of Lexus marketing plan was excellent because it did help me make my decision (along with the coupon) to purchase my first Lexus.

Default 2008 Es350

I just picked mine up here in NJ yesterday. MSRP with accessories and delivery was $38,502. I paid $34,333. Naturally that did not NJ state sales tax and vehicle registration charges.
