Default Winter Wonderland

What's up everyone? I'm new to the forum and have a quick question. My mind has been pretty much made up about my next vehicle, but before I take the plunge there is one thing I am worried about. For those who have driven their ES's in the winter, what are your honest opinions on how the vehicle handles in the snow? I live and work on Long Island and Manhattan respectively, and do lots of winter/snow driving.

P.S. I have been reading all of your posts for a short while and have already learned a lot. Thanks everyone!!!

Welcome to Club Lexus. Please be more descriptive in your topic headings, as your current topic makes a search impossible. I doubt anyone will search for "Winter Wonderland". As you continue to use the forum, I'm sure you'll thank me in the future when you are doing a search.

And speaking of snow, there is already some threads discussing this.

I went through the past winter in Colorado - my previous ES300 had better traction than the patrol cars, my Michelin HydroEdge tires gave a lot of the boost; the car did it's share with the traction control, the ABS also got guite a workout. It is a great winter car, except when the snow is over 10" deep.
Oh yeah, pretty good driver, too!

No problems with mine except for trying to blast out of a parking spot with wet snow 8" deep. I had to shovel the snow out before the front wheels would grab but the car was good in Northeast PA snow.

Pleasantly surprised with the snow performance. Better than previous generation. The car is more than capable if you find yourself stuck in a storm.
