Homelink and Genie pb

Just picked up my ES 350 yesterday and first thing i tried when i got home was to synch to homelink garage door opener to my genie at home.
I used both methods, first pointing the remote to the homelink and holding both buttons for 20 seconds without success.
I also tried to press the training button on the genie receiver itself and press twice on the homelink without success.
Any insights ?

Never mind, I figured it out now. I guess what the manual didn't clarify is that if it is a rolling opener, I need step 1 AND step 2 and not step 1 OR step 2....
awesome :)

Rolling codes definitely make the process fun, eh? I've yet to nail it on the first attempt.

How do you do the rolling capture?

If your garage door opener has rolling code:
First, erase all previously programmed code just to make sure by holding the homelink buttons 1 and 3 for 20 seconds. Release the buttons once they start blinking.

Next, chose a button you want to program on on your homelink. Hold that button and press and hold the button on your remote while pointing that remote to the homelink. Hold both for about 20 secs and release once the homelink button starts blinking.

Then on the opener receiver, locate the training button. Press that button. The light will start blinking. Quickly go to your car, press and hold the homelink button for 2 secs. Release.

You should now be able to open your garage.

What is pb in the subject heading?

wboy 06-29-07 11:42 PM

pb = problem

Thanks. Please don't use non-existant abbreviations for words in your subject headings. There is no such thing as the abbreviation as "pb" for problem. They are not searchable in posts and subject headings.
